4 ISO 179-1/1eU, unnotched, X-Y orientation, 23 °C.
A rigid carbon fiber reinforced polyester. The fiber gives it high stiffness and strong resistance to creep under sustained load, while the polyester base stays dimensionally stable in humid air. It resists dilute acids, salts, and common cleaners but is attacked by strong solvents, and softens near 74°C.
