A tough general purpose styrenic whose dispersed rubber phase blunts cracks and absorbs impact. It machines and bonds easily, takes up little water, and stays serviceable to about 87°C. Ultraviolet light embrittles unprotected surfaces, and it dissolves readily in acetone and related solvents.
